Embracing You Completely As You Are

You are not just the past,
The present
or even the future

You are not just the events that have happened,
The tragedies that have occurred nor
All of the joyous moments cherished.

You are the sum
of all of your experiences and
the whole of all your perceptions too

There is no right
and no wrong in how you think,
or what you feel,

There are no shoulds or should haves
No coulds or could haves
Only the choices made at a particular moment in time

Through it all
There is only an embracing
of the whole of you

Life is never a series of bad decisions
Or mistakes in timing
Or what ifs

Life is never a test or an examination
Neither is it simply a culmination of hard work
Big effort or deserveability

Life for you is all exactly as it is meant to be
The beautiful, the good,
the bad, the ugly

All of it to be embraced
All of it to be loved
All of it simply a reflection

Of the beauty the joy the passion and the love
Of the mighty, worthy person
that you truly are.

Experiences do not happen to you
Experiences make you who you are
Embrace them

And through them all,
embrace the complete whole
of who you are.

I Am Ready

I am ready to embrace myself and all that I am
I am ready to accept all the joys and privileges of being me
I am ready to hold myself and all of me, in the highest of my own esteem
knowing that far beyond all that i can imagine and dream
I know that there is a purpose to my journey

I am ready to call upon my store of energy, of creativity, of love, of inspiration
I am ready to be all the things to me that I need to be for myself
I am ready to be kinder, more loving, more forgiving, more gentle, more embracing and more accepting of all that I am
and also all that I am not
I am now ready to be
All of me.

When Fears and Negative Thoughts Arrive

When Fears and negative thoughts arrive
Invite them in
Give them a place by the fire to warm their toes and their souls
Offer them tea and biscuits and ask them to stay for but a while

Listen to what they have to say, hear them out
Patiently, calmly, non judgementally
And when they, and you, are ready, send them on their way and know

Know that all that it is, is a perspective
A one sided judgement on what could be or may be
Yet so many more possibilities, so many more opportunities exist beyond just the perspectives of fear

So hear them out, listen and accept, that
All fear is, is simply a view, an angle, a perspective
Share your thanks for the concern
Your gratitude for your very own, very real
Very effective antennae of judgement

And know that despite any fear, worries or negative judgements
In each and every moment, you have the ability

To believe in yourself
To embrace your own amazing talents, knowledge and …
To know that you’re worthy and valuable
Of everything and anything that you can imagine and oh so much more too.

The Journey Here

Just for a moment today,
Look back.

Look back,
Through the winding paths and
Pot-holed, cracked pavements
Through the thorn bushes and
The occasional sweet-smelling rose

Look back and see
Just how far you’ve come
Despite all those detours and false starts
In spite of the detractors and nay-sayers
Against the billowing wind and howling rain.

You’ve walked the path
Just one foot in front of the other
Sometimes it seemed harder than you could ever imagine
Other times the wind seem to push you along and lift you up

And in the end, no matter how long it took
Or where the road took you
You arrived.

Exactly where you were meant to be
Exactly where you are now

So for a brief moment today,
Look back.

Look back
In appreciation
For all the smiles and the tears
Along the way
For all the lessons learnt,
Friends made, love gained.

Look back today
And know,
That the you
That you are today,
Would not be here if not for
Those winding paths and
Pot-holed pavements
Those thorn bushes and
Sweet-smelling roses.

You made it here
Right where you are today!

I Am Merely Passing Through

I am merely passing through
On my journey somewhere
Far beyond these landscapes
Of loves and thrills, of smiles and joys.

It may be brief or i may stay a while
I can not yet know for sure
But either way I wager that
A good one it will be

Adventure and raucous laughter
Getting lost and being found
Through hailstorms and midnight stars
Never-ending days and fuzzy summer nights

Friends to laugh with
Families to cheer with
Loved ones to hold and
Babies to cherish

There is all and all of me
For good, for love, for joy, you see
There is much more in this life of ours
Than merely counting down the hours

I am merely passing through
On my journey somewhere else
In a hurry to get there,
I most certainly am not

For wonders and wondrous
Famine and drought
Smiles and tears
Without a doubt

Life is but an enthralling road
To ride along, at speed or paced,
Neither matters
It’s not a race

For whether things happen
Or dreams are fulfilled
Hopes abound
and experience thrills

Goals accomplished, trophies won
Matters little matters not
For in the end, the only truth that counts
Is only whether we have loved enough

I am merely passing through
On my journey somewhere else
And in the time I have that’s here
A love of all of life, I’ll choose it to be
