The day is what you make of it
but sometimes it is more
when demands and expectations are
greater than all the energies we have in store
And when the day is unfolding
In a way that is just hard
Take a breather, sit it out
Wait for rolling waves to depart
And when your little pick me up is done
And your spirits lifted buoyed
Reach up your arms victorious
Ready to show your might
The day is what you make of it
And sometimes it may be more
