To be present and hopeful
Ever filled with wonder and appreciation
For all the moments that we hold dear to us
As well as the ones that silently slip us by

Our days of living, of breathing
Of gently hoping that each day
Is filled with treasured memories
No matter how perfectly ordinary they may seem

And perhaps then, we may one day learn
That in the calm of taking time to simply be
We are truly taking time
To be everything that we yearn to be

The World Around Us

A day of wonderful blue skies
 Accentuates the shadows and the light
 That surrounds us, endlessly.

The shadows aren’t caused by us
 We cannot generate any greater light than that,
that already surrounds us

Embrace the blue skies,
 along with sunny days  

Welcome too, dark shadows
 and thunderous storms

All beautifully serve to make our journey
 Exactly what it is meant to be.

This is what it is,
to be the you,

The Perfection that is You

Haven’t you realised that
the beauty that you see in each flower petal
the awe you feel as the sun rises
and sets over the horizon…

The feelings you have within
that are invoked by
the rapture of a bird song
the freedom of the rain
the perfect blue of the sky
the sweet smell of the grass…

Don’t you yet know
that  the laughter of children
the tears of joy
the expanse of your heart
as it holds all the love you have within…

Everything,
everything is but a reflection
of the perfection that is you.
